This great lesson on how to face up and win in every Crisis was given to the World by two small Countries.
The Country that I was born in, Greece, and the Country that I live in, Dubai.
Both those small Countries are impressively winning the Covid-19 Battles.
How they do that is the timeless lesson:
First – Both Countries were open and honest when the Crisis hit. They did not hide the importance of it, in spite of the great cost to their Economies and Societies.
Second – Both Countries took brave and costly measures early.
Controlled the Virus spread and minimized fatalities.
Although both Countries have great incomes from Tourism and Trade they did not hesitate to rapidly close down airports, hotels, restaurants, Malls, and impose a curfew.
Third – They mobilized all and early their medical resources.
Greece, just coming out from ten years of depression did not hesitate to massively employ new medical personnel, define the pandemic medical centers, and organize the battles successfully, ignoring the financial cost.
Dubai with its superior Health infrastructure mobilized it all in the service of the pandemic fight. The minimum number of deaths proves it.
Dubai, used the excellent municipal apparatus to sanitize the whole Emirate.
Both Countries were very strict in the imposition of obedience to the hygienic rules
Virtuous & Honest, Daring & Efficient, Early & Brave in the Crisis is the proof of Leadership.
There is a long fight ahead.
Both Countries are coming out victorious because they have rational and brave Leaders that are willing and capable to pay the price of Leadership.
